Band Employee Benefits Program

The Band Employee Benefits program provides funding to First Nation employers to help with the cost of employer contributions to pension plans.

Professional and Institutional Development Program

The Professional and Institutional Development Program provides funding for projects that improve capacity in First Nations governments and organizations. It is a proposal based program.

We invest in training and professional development that supports long-term planning and addresses these priorities:

How to Apply?

We invite First Nation organizations to submit proposals to access funding, following an annual call letter.

Tribal Council Funding Program

We fund tribal councils to help them deliver programs and services and advise their First Nation members. The Tribal Council Funding program supports two types of activities.

Basic Organisational Capacity Funding

We provide funding to the Council of Yukon First Nations to support core administrative and governance functions of the organization.

Economic Development Programs

We provide community economic development to Dease River First Nation, Daylu Dena Council and Taku River Tlingit First Nation.

Lands Program

Through our land management we provide a variety of program support, service and advice to both self-governing Yukon First Nations and Indian Act First Nations with respect to a range of lands-related matters.
