Why

The Government of Canada is working with First Nations to establish a new fiscal relationship that moves towards sufficient, predictable and sustained funding for First Nations communities.

To support this process, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is working on consolidating several of its funding agreement models into one comprehensive funding agreement model.

ISC is seeking input on this agreement.

What

Through this engagement, participants will be asked to review and provide feedback on a draft comprehensive funding agreement model, including clauses addressing default prevention.

At the end of the engagement, a summary of feedback received will be posted online. Following scheduled engagement sessions, ISC will follow up with participants to provide more information on key areas of the comprehensive funding agreement.

How to participate

Feedback will be collected via in-person meetings (scheduled with participants, by invitation only) and other methods such as direct correspondence and teleconferencing or videoconferencing.
