Transfer payment service standards
The Government of Canada is modernizing the way it administers its Grants and Contributions. Part of this modernization includes posting and adhering to transfer payment service standards. Service standards publicly state the level of performance that clients can reasonably expect to receive under normal circumstances.
Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) are committed to adhering to the following transfer payment service standards:
- To issue payment notification, including details of payments under all funding agreements, within 5 calendar days of the associated financial requisitions (payment) being approved
- For First Nations and Tribal Councils requiring a new agreement, offer a draft copy of the funding agreement based on the latest funding model by February 1, for their review
CIRNAC and ISC service standards apply to all transfer payments. Performance results cover all transfer payment programs.
For more information about CIRNAC and ISC 's transfer payment service standards, or to discuss any concerns you may have, contact EF Modifications libellés / FA Text Deviation.
Previous service standards were in effect until 2023 to 2024, with a transition period in 2024 to 2025.
