Working with Yukon region

CIRNAC Yukon region and other federal departments are offering employment opportunities for full-time students looking to work for the Government of Canada in Whitehorse and other Yukon communities through the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). You only have to apply once to be considered for a variety of jobs in the Yukon, across Canada and abroad.

Who can apply

You must be a full-time student at college or university and returning to studies the next academic year.

How to apply

To apply through FSWEP, visit Ongoing Student Recruitment.

To be considered for jobs in Yukon, you must indicate Whitehorse, Yukon as a preferred location for jobs when applying.

Preference will be given to candidates who self-identify as Indigenous and meet the job requirements.

Rates of pay

Pay rates are determined in accordance with the Government of Canada student rates of pay and vary based on factors such as experience and year of study.

Those working in Yukon may be eligible for an additional Isolated Post Allowance on top of their salary.
